FALLing in love with Foliage

When was the last time you went on a walk with no clear path....just roamed?
I heart Fall!
You never know what kind of thoughts are spurred by silence & observation of both yourself and your environment.
Adore the colors of the Fall, Awed by the different pace at which the trees are changing color
Pure beauty of 'the' everyday can offer so many insights if you allow yourself to slow down, observe....and be distracted by your surroundings.
Lovely splash of color
I set out for a 7 mile walk (preparing for an upcoming 1/2 marathon)....but deep down, I really just wanted to roam around town and nearby Cherokee Park to enjoy the changing colors of the trees. I've never really been so obsessed with fall foliage as I am this year. I can't say exactly why this recent fascination with the fall colors and the transformation of the trees is happening. Maybe it's my desire to be more creative, simplify my life, find beauty in the everyday, enjoy this changing period in my own life, appreciate our new neighborhood, feel connected to something bigger than me......
Simplicity of a single beautiful leaf
..... Not sure it really matters why....but it is nice to reflect and enjoy...and have a new found love for FALL.

Are you just as obsessed as I am yet?
Wanting to feel more connected to nature? Find the beauty in the everyday? ..... I encourage you to get lost in your neighborhood this week ~  look up, look around and enjoy nature's gift of changing perspective.

I try and remind myself of this quote when the holiday rush starts to get in my head.
