I had the opportunity to go to the St. James Art Fair for an art date with myself on Friday and again on Saturday with my husband for a 2nd meandering. Wow...do I love looking at different types of art, inspiration from so many mediums. We, as humans, are so amazing at where we find beauty, how we each create in our own unique way and how our visions come to life. Just Spectacular.
I bought 2 small, but fun art pieces at the art fair. Items that will forever hold a special place in my heart regardless of where our life travels take us.
Friday evening, we took part in a wine & art evening where we learned how to paint Kandinksy style circles & squares. It was a lovely evening of silence and focused creativity, laughing and silliness with the others seated at our table and an opportunity to jump outside the comfort zone, play, paint, be a bit free-spirited. So good for the soul.

Finally, I wanted to leave you with a bit of ARTspiration for a mini-art-project I recently completed. It's easy and so adorable and can make a perfect gift for yourself or possibly a family or friend for birthday or other fun event.

| I would provide step by step instructions....however, the website I found this cute idea from did such an excellent job, I really could not add anymore details. The writer was perfect...visit details Here. P.S. ~ These cute tea-cups were each $1 at a garage sale that I purchased with my grandma visited. They will always remind me of her gardening visit. |

Your Kandinsky paintings are both great ! The two on the same wall will be of much effect !
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have to say Adam really thought outside the 'box' on this one...and I think it came out really cool. Now..I just need to find the right wall to hang them on to showcase our ART abilities :)
DeleteThe wine & art combo sound fab! And...I absolutely love the fleur-de-lis motif as well--recently, I bought a large, vintage (sparkly) fleur-de-lis--it's one of my faves. :)
ReplyDeleteooohh! Vintage and Sparkly...two of my favorite words together :)
