Mutual Weirdness by Dr. Seuss

We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.
-Dr. Seuss

My husband surprised me with a cute message which arrived in my inbox earlier this week. We joke about being 'weird' sometimes...my response to him is always, 'we are all weird in our own ways'.

Being a little spontaneous, moving at your own beat, getting strange looks for something you might say or wear, being independent.....really anything that you sometimes thing you are the oddball for...or when you fear you might be looked at funny for...that's when you are showing your true colors, picking your unique personality.

Being Weird is the BEST part of Being! Own it and flaunt it!

Wish you the best finding your mutual weirdness partner in life. If you've already found him/her...be grateful for the parts of each other that are Weird!

  1. Love it--and can totally relate to it!!! What's super-neat is that our sons (now grown) have that same sense of "weirdness" --especially with our sense of humor that Mark & I both possess. ;) Makes for some interesting group texts, get-togethers, etc. We all love a good laugh and fun times--generally related to our weird natures. He he. :-)

    1. I'm sure it's completely amazing to see your mutual weirdness grow in your children forming their own unique personalities!

  2. I couldn't agree more. My fiance and I are were just talking about how "weird" we are and that our future kids are gonna think we are crazy. But I think that weirdness is great and is where a lot of our fun and joy comes from. Dr. Seuss is so wise. :)
