Love my Okabashis!

For our summer trip to Europe, I chose Okabashi shoes to carry my body on our daily treks. Some of my favorite things about them especially for traveling:
  • Vegan
  • Fun colors
  • Open toes
  • Comfortable (massage beads built right into the footbed)
  • Although a plastic like material, they do not rub on my skin
  • Reasonably Priced
  • Extremely easy to clean
  • Won't be ruined if you get caught in the rain
On our trip to Nice, I took a fun picture of my shoes sitting on the beach. I know...one of those pictures you know you won't frame or print....likely only put on Instagram with the other food, cat & sky pictures (refer to this hilarious Instagram Parody - seriously laugh out loud)....but I love taking fun corny pictures that months or years later will bring me back to that place instantly....this was one of those pictures (that my husband really wanted to delete....see Instagram Parody reference again for his reason why):

Ironically, a few weeks after our return home, Okabashi sent out a request for fun pictures of Okabashi shoes....and I immediately remembered our day at the beach in Nice! I submitted this photo and just recently learned that I was the grand prize winner of 5 free pairs of shoes!!! How crazy!

Well..the moral of my story is...take as many fun quirky crazy pictures! Really just be yourself in all regards...you never know how the universe will show up for you. This summer...for me...it was happy feet on vacation....and a surprise of being selected as the best Okabashi shoe photo!

As I was researching about the Okabashi brand a bit more for this post, I also learned some very cool things:
  • Their shoes are 100% recyclable
  • Zero Waste production facility
  • Shoes travels only 7% as far as the average imported shoe
  • Learn more about this cool shoe brand here
***I am not sponsored by Okabashi in any way other than my excitement about this shoe, which I've been wearing for about 2 years which was further increased by winning their grand prize of 5 free pairs of shoes***
