Ambitious June

June, officially the month of the summer, brings a light atmosphere, lifts the heart, adds a touch of glow to every one's skin, longer days provide the opportunity for evenings with friends outside, long summer walks, ice cream, water time (roof-top pool in my case), a willingness to explore the city in a new way.

I plan to LOVE my June in quite an ambitious way:

  • TODAY: Advanced Teacher Training FINAL!!! This is my last 'official' weekend in teacher training, the only piece remaining is completing my Thesis paper and preparing for the Thesis workshop (Date of Workshop = July 28th, set the date to keep me on track)

  • Art Journal Meet up in DC with other lovers of magazine exploration and vision creation

  • 1/2 Sauer 1/2 Kraut Half Marathon in Pennsylvania ~ Our 1st trip to Philadelphia, if you have any fun recommendations, Hubby and I would love to hear them (especially vegan/vegetarian restaurants)!

  • My mom's 1st visit to DC, excited to introduce her to yoga as well as some of my favorite places in DC

  • We hope to Visit New York City for a long weekend of Vegan & Yoga ~ Since our visit in February, I've wanted to go back to do less 'touristy' things and explore more of the yoga community in NYC (would love any recommendations!) (& Yes...I convinced my husband to join me for some yoga...only because I said there would be some yummy vegan food!)

  • Stained Glass OM ~ I've picked the colors, just need start cutting the glass

In addition to all of these FUN activities, I've got some serious work to do as well, after all life isn't all fun and games (although I wish it was):
  • Pumped up yoga teaching offerings. Check out my summer schedule at Tranquil Space as well as here & here
  • Hard core Private Thesis paper writing
  • Plan Demystifying Private Yoga workshop
  • Day Job ~ Prep for Q2 close
In case you've been wondering about this whole 'set your monthly goals' thing....Some other fun blogs that I follow who also share their monthly goals with fun inspiring events and book recommendations to consider implementing into your own monthly practice are:

    1. Hi Eliz ~ Honestly, I'm not sure how i plan to squeeze it all in. :) But, I'm motivated to do so. One thing, I've found that helps me is to plan it on my calendar and block out time for what I want to accomplish. (And to not get too hard on myself when I can't finish everything I set my hear out to do) :)
