Love Yoga Music? Playlist Inspiration...
During the final weekend of advanced teacher training, each teacher was required to teach a 30 minute heart felt sequence. Most of us taught to music and each person had such an amazing, eclectic set of music that inspired me (and I think all of us) to share the music we played with each other.
Typically in my classes I often 'shuffle' my music through my yoga related songs that I've accumulated. Often times this works and produces a nice flow and rhythm in class, BUT periodically there is that one 'off' song that is too faced paced for cool down...or too slow paced for the heated faster part of class.
For a few reasons, other than that off-timing song, I've decided to go back to making playlists ~ including my fellow teachers in advanced teacher training have inspired me with their beautiful music selections (and showed how much the right music can really transform a class from yoga poses to an almost bliss-like state) as well as several students coming to me after class to ask me about song I played during the middle of class and I was unable to tell them.
So, this first playlist is inspired primarily by one of the most graceful teachers I've ever met, full of a light, floating like quality, yet grounded and rooted, especially as evident through some of the music she selected for her teaching. In addition, I've included some of my favorite earthly, deep songs, ending almost on a cloud!
Pleasant Listening!
If you have any music recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I'm always looking for that amazing savasana song that can transform a practice to the beyond!
