I was reading an article about creating your own yoga space, when I clicked on the link I was expecting it to be an article about creating space on the mat, within your body and mind. Nope…surprise, it was actually an article about literally creating a yoga space in your home to practice. A serene place that you can go to everyday to practice, sit, meditate, breath or just relax.
I sort of have a “yoga space” in our den, but our den is also the overflow of our storage, we have an extra couch, a shelf with things on it just don’t know where else to put (but for some reason can’t get rid of either), and materials from my hobby - stained glass (which I unfortunately have not made the time to play with in almost 2 years)….so clutter is not allowing it to be a serene relaxing environment. I would love to paint it in a peaceful and yet invigorating color, display some unique and fun yoga art, organize yoga supplies on a cute shelf and of course de-clutter. I think I just found a summer project.
The article had a link to etsy for yoga art…..well that just led to me browsing etsy for the last hour for yoga related art, jewelry, etc…..sometimes I just fall into this deep well of internet browsing….but there was some very cool things that I thought I would share.
I just bought this beautiful charm for myself today from http://www.thependantemporium.etsy.com …I just could not resist.
I also purchased this beautiful piece of yoga art from rarebirdart on etsy.com. I can’t wait to hang this up as my first piece in my soon to be serene yoga space.
Some things I did not buy, but thought were very cute….(and maybe if my husband sees this….a hint for future gift ideas) J
From etsy.com profile ERWIN925 – creates many different yoga poses as pendants…check out this beautiful bow pose:
Also from etsy.com profile bongobeads – creates yoga poses (and other images) by cutting them into coins…how unique!
This advanced yoga practitioner painting by madebysteph from etsy.com put a smile on my face, I’m sure we all have days that we can relate:
There were so many great finds on Etsy…the last one I will share is this simple and classy representation of that peaceful feeling I tend to have after practicing yoga by PamelaLynnDesigns on etsy.com
