If you recall the Love your March post, I described SEVERAL goals of mine for the month. Well, we are just about at the half way point of the month, and I wanted to check in with myself to see how things have been going.
With sooo many ideas, eating healthy, getting to bed on time, drinking water, moving, spending quality time with my husband and kitties, connecting with nature, developing a meditation practice....oh, you know the list goes on. I decided I needed something I could quickly look at everyday to remind me, and also help me stay on track. So, I developed this checklist in excel (remember, I am an accountant!, plus excel is great at creating little boxes for checklists) :)
I printed it out on a small piece of paper and carry it with me in day planner. Every morning and evening when I check in with my day planner....I quickly jot down a few notes about the day, check things I've done, etc. I've also separated out the top row between yellow (daily) and green (weekly) just so I can see everything on one page.
The intention is not to make life a checklist, but rather to be a gentle reminder, trust me my brain is so forgetful a little reminder is helpful.
I think this will be a great tool to adapt each month as my goals change or even stay the same. Just have to change the top line and reprint. Wala ~ Checklist heaven!
Great idea! Would you mind sharing your checklist template?

ReplyDeleteHi there! Thank you for taking the time to read this checklist post. I'm still fairly new at this blogging thing, and I have not been able to figure out how to load documents to the blog. It's simple to create though, list the dates on the left hand side of an excel spreadsheet and the goals, intentions you have for the month across the top. Wala ~ Print and you are good to go. Thanks for visiting. ~ Christine
