I absolutely love tradition. The older I become, the more traditions I've accumulated, created & co-created. There is something beautiful in creating memories year after year, full of meaning and brightness. I'd love to share with you two of my favorite traditions this Christmas night as Santa lays down to sleep for the next year:
Pasta Pasta Pasta Tradition
It has been a tradition since my husband and I have been married to make homemade pasta on Christmas Day. (4th Year!) I have to admit, this year's pasta & home made lentil bolognese & pesto sauce are definitely Wunderbar! As we've grown together in both our Vegan diet & as chefs in the kitchen...this day of preparing and cooking side by side is always one of my most favorite days.
Reflections on an Ornament
The 1st year I started this blog I decided to share with you some of my
favorite ornament memories, bringing me back to special moments with many of my loved ones. Unpacking Christmas boxes floods me with memories of grandma's, my parents and their unique method of sharing gifts with me growing up, snow angels, and the many many Christmas trees I've decorated, fell asleep gazing at on Christmas eve....and the inspiration of their twinkly lights. This will be the 3rd year I showcase a few of my favorite ornaments, journalling special memories to inspire my loved ones & yours for years to come!

My dad made this Kite ornament for me. So sweet, because it brings me back to the park he took me to when I was a little girl we would fly kites that he would make by hand (and of course teach me how to....a skill I wish I still had). |

I inherited a love for Elves from my grandma & mom... the more vintage and ornate..... the better. I learned today they also have another adorable name Knee Hugger This elf, I'm sure was a gift from one of them...I think my mom.... if it wasn't a gift, then I slyly requested to have it after seeing it on their tree. A Knee Hugger Elf gifted to me this year by an anonymous yoga student at Infinite Bliss. How Sweet! |

This ornament floods me with memories of living in Chicago, shopping in a crazy snow storm for family presents, specifically an ornament exchange. My husband, at the time boyfriend, and I were driving through some very icy, snowy, slushy roads full of Christmas cheer and the spirit of giving; during a time which otherwise may have been very stressful; was actually a very special, lasting memory. The day I purchased several ornaments for family members, and one for myself. |
I wish you a Merry Christmas and Sweet Dreams to Santa ~ Until Next Year!
May you have a year full of traditions (new & old) creating inspiring & happy memories for years to come!
